“ We were told by are friends that we should try out the shrimp shack in Anacortes, but get there at 11am we got there at at 3pm there was about 30 people in front of us. we waited for 30 minutes in line to order then waited for 30 minutes to get the food. We got clam chowder and 2lbs of shrimp and a elk burger all was very, very good we will be back. ”
“ We went to Shrimp Shack and had a great experience! The staff ladies were very friendly. The shrimp were fresh, flavorful, and cooked just right. There were two counters to place your order, burgers and fresh shrimp. We had an Alligator burger (chewy meat) Elk burger (taste like beef, slight liver flavor) and Buffalo burger. You order your food outside the counter and find a table to sit ( small outside sitting area) and wait for your number to be called. Perfect spot for a quick and tasty, fresh seafood meal. It's definitely worth a visit if you're craving shrimp! ”
“ The blue soft shell crab sandwich was really good, I would maybe add bacon to it next time. That sounds good. The dungeness crab cake burger was amazing. So fresh. I would definitely get this again and again.. maybe add bacon.. .. The fries were fresh out of the grease, but I didn't like them so much. They also needed salt. We also got a pound and a half of shrimp.. They're really good... I have never tasted shrimp like this before.. It's almost like lobster.. they have a sweet taste to them.. You dont get that taste from the shrimp at the grocery store.. unless I'm cooking them wrong.. I just hate peeling them, so I only had about 5 of them.. My wife is eating the rest.. You can tell everything is extremely fresh.. The taste is so much fresher and different than going to a basic restaurant and ordering something like this.. We paid about 90 for everything. That's with a 15% tip. I live in Tacoma, but if I'm ever back in this area, I will be stopping by. ”
“ We went out for some fresh shrimp, but turns out they don’t start serving it until May. So we got clam chowder and cod & fries instead—and added a side of oysters too. Everything was super tasty, not too salty at all. The fries were nice and crispy. Definitely coming back for the fresh shrimp next time! ”
“ For a taste of truly authentic shrimp – unlike anything you'll find in a grocery store or even most restaurants – this is absolutely the place to go. Their shrimp is the best (it genuinely looks wild-caught!), and it instantly transports me back to my hometown by the sea. And if you're feeling adventurous, they also serve unique alligator, elk, and moose burgers. Don't just walk by – you've got to stop and check it out! ”
“ Great spot for burgers and bags of shrimp. This place is supposedly a local favorite of the people in this city so we had to try it. We got the grilled fish tacos, oyster burger, chowder, and a bag of shrimp. The fish tacos were great. Lots of flavor, lots of meat like a lot, and good sauce. The oyster burger was really good as well. Classic burger, just a bun, meat, and sauce. However, the oyster was surprisingly really good, again a ton of meat, it was oozy out the bun. Another good item is the chowder, I don't think it was the best I've ever had but it was delicious and I would get it again. Lastly the shrimp bag, their main offering, is good, lots of shrimp. The shrimp have a unique flavor unlike most shrimp you eat. It's a different type of shrimp that you get in restaurants. Good value and worth the try. Highly recommend checking this place out if you're in the area. Note the line starts pretty quickly after they open so be prepared. ”
“ This place took 35 minutes to get through the line with about 20 people in front of us. I think the oyster shooters (4) come for a jar I bought 5 lbs for 50 for small and medium shrimps. I would recommend just paying a little more for just the medium shrimps. The small ones are still good but only if you are eating them whole. The fries were delicious. I like the way they fry their fries. A bunch of people brought rice and dipping sauces so might be a smart move to bring your own dipping sauces. Seating was very spacious. Dog friendly! I’ll be coming back again ”
“ This place is a fun spot to stop on the drive to Deception pass. They serve fresh spotted prawns (served with the head on), it’s sweet and buttery, they’re my favorite when the season hits in May. My Asian family will pack a bottle of sauce for dip, and bring rice as well lol (maybe a suggestion to add on the menu. They serve all kinds of seafood and burgers as well. We ordered the oyster and fish basket, they’re beer battered I assume, the best way to go. Sometimes, they don’t have the big spotted prawns, I suggest you call ahead to make sure they have it. The medium coonstripes are more flavorful. ”
